Findependence Day by Jonathan Chevreau
Don’t forget to enter the contest to win a FREE Magellan Maestro GPS system! It’s free to enter, and all you have to do is visit the contest page and leave a comment - say anthing you like, even “fuzzy wuzzy was a woman”.
First Some Notes:
1. I’m really busy getting adjusted to the new job and preparing for a three-week vacation in December to India so the content is thin these days (and probably will be until the New Year).
2. The GPS contest is still on AND I’m sweetening the pot by adding a second prize to a second winner who will be selected from the current contest entrants – so if you’ve entered the GPS contest you now have a chance to win wither a GPS or a copy of Jonathan Chevreau’s new book!
Findependence Day
Today I attended the book launch for ‘Findependence Day’ written by Jonathan Chevreau (author of the Wealthy Boomer blog, and columnist with The National Post). Jonathan signed a copy for me (two actually, but I’m keeping the other!). You can read more about the book by reading the interview he gave to himself here.
In a nutshell, it is actually written as a novel – a la The Wealthy Barber, and gives a more realistic perspective to financial planning – I haven’t read it yet, but I love Jonathan’s writing style and wit, so I know it will be a keeper.

We will be giving away our copy of this book at some point if someone wants to read it in spite of my review (hey, who are you going to trust, the reviewers at Chapter’s or me?). [...]
